Well i have too much back pressure, i think its because im pushing too much power and the exhaust can take it... The fastest time i have made is a 17.92 (1 mile above sea level) so i must get a cat back system befor i get any thing else!!!
Are my acusations correct or am i dumb???

check the exhaust gasket.
If thats fine , then explain in *detail* about your back pressure (Back firing , etc).

If you are thinking it is too much backpressure the only thing that might be wrong could be your cat-con is blocked.
Unless you turboed your N/T I doubt it would be too much power vs. back pressure.
Normally aspirated engines need some back pressure or you have no low end.
Start with the obvious tune up issues (spark plugs wires, timeing etc.)
Also if you have an automatic tranny might be why you have a 17 sec 1/4 mile or you just need a bit of practice with a 5 speed.

what were your 60'? That could be part of the problem, traction. I have seen 1g n/t's run 16.0's with only an intake it just takes a really good driver.

Well that is part of the problem, if you could get it down to a 2.2 (or better)that should put you at a 17.5. (or better) Lower RPM launch and or solid motor mounts help.
What mods do you currently have?
If you want you could probably get like a 2.25" or 2.5" high flow cat and 2.25" or 2.5" back from there, I just am not convinced that is the problem.
