I had a BLAST!!!!!
everyone said i did above average for a first timer
but i know one thing
i dont need horsepower
i need big fat sticky tires
there was neon that killed every vette there
but the king of cars out there was a purpose built road legal 95(?) porche 911 TT
oh my gosh!!!!!!!!!!
it ran 4 sec faster than any one there
it had full roll cage, street slicks, huge breaks
it was awsome
any way
i cant wait till next months event

I'm just curious, but what part of the country are you located? I know that there was an autox by me today in Rockland County NY at the Palisades Mall parking lot. It would be cool to know that there is a NT DSMtalk'er that lives relatively close to me :)

Dude I hear ya on the Auto-Xing. I raced Sat and Sun for the first time. It was so sweet. You can really test your cars limits. It was the most fun I have had in a long time. I also met one of our fellow DSM talkers out there. TrysHard.. I think that's his Forum name. He told me a few pointers, and I was out on the track for the first time. Had a blast. More DSM guys should try it out. They will get hooked. Laters

Are you a member of the SCCA? I really want to get into Auto-Xing but I am not really sure if there is anything outside of the SCCA. Any pointers. I am from Illinois and not many people that I know are into road racing, they just want the quarter mile and that is it,
I want more than that!!

There's a lot of Auto-crossing around where I live on the weekends... the auto-x scene is actually a lot more active than the drag-racing scene...
Hey Optamix, is your suspension etc stock? I have been putting off taking my car auto-xing b/c I want to do some upgrades in that area, but I can never seem to pull enough money together, so I'm thinking of just trying it stock. Hope nuthin breaks

I am also about to join the SCCA, I just wanted to know if anyone knew of any Auto-Xing going on in the Chicago area. Just to get my feet wet before I go headstrong balls to the wall with this
