No reverse, no warning

1992 tsi awd. was driving along last night doing some logs and seeing how everything was working, and went to back up and noticed it didnt really want to go into reverse. ended up havin a couple guys push me out of the driveway, and i brought it home. every other gear works fine, but upon testing it this morning, reverse seems to be not moving at all. i can get it into gear, but when i let out on the clutch it's like a brick wall...she wont budge. anyone else had this problem?

Nope. Mine just falls out reverse... even if I hold it in place like it was my job. mines usually fine unless i'm backing up on a hill.

If i remember right.. when i rebuilt my transmissiona few years ago tehre is a spring which holds reverse. Perhaps that spring fell out or got jammed somehow on your car. I think that spring is too weak to hold mine in gear. Otherwise it shifts fine. :freak:
