Only when it's cold or hasn't been running for a little while I can't get it into any gear and it grinds reverse. I have to shut the car off and put it into reverse and then again into forward gear. Then after a short drive it's fine. I'll try bleeding it again but doubt it. Could it be a cad pressure plate? Bad adjustment? I've heard bad things about extended slave cylinder rods too. Any Ideas are a great help. Thanks

Possibly in worst case syncros are shot or going out. Try changing fluids and adding a little friction modifier. Also when you drain it check for metal flakes in the oil.

thanks for being a smart ass by the way. And yes 90AWD I have changed my fluid, AmsOil synchromesh, only a few metal bits not much at all. It's more of a clutch problem. It's sometimes squishy and releases right off the floor and other times it won't. It quits after a short drive though.

Well I would try bleeding the **** out of it. Next time you start it try pumping the clutch a few times before you try putting it into gear. Also check your master and slave cylinders for leaks.

You said that sometimes the pedal feels squishy, that's a positive sign that you have air in the lines. 90awd gave you some good advise, check for leaks and replace what you need. I have allways seen when the clutch master goes out that it tends to leak inside the car by the pedals!
hope this fix's your problem.
