View Full Version : Tokico Illuminas vs. Koni Yellows

Thanks for the input on the springs...now if anyone has any input on this...

I think I'm going to take advantage of the carparts sale this weekend and grab some shocks. I was sold on getting the Tokicos, but I noticed that they also carry the Koni Yellows, which are going to be only $40 more for the entire set.

I know the Koni's are the autocrossers choice, but I don't want them if they are a noticeably rougher ride on the street than the Tokicos. Also the Tokicos are 8-way adjustable in the front and 5 in the rear, while the Konis are 3-way on all corners.

I guess these will be teamed up with either a Eibach ProKit 1.4" drop or the H&R Sport 1.25" drop...not sure which yet.

Well tokicos ride WORSE than Konis. Konis are rebound adjustable only, but the compression rates will be good up to around 550lb front and 425lb rear. You're probably not going to go any stiffer than that for the street.

i was going to get the tockicos does anyone have
good experiences with them on 2G. thanks

The general feeling from the 2G guys on the dsmautoXeGroups is that konis are the way to go.

to be honest

konis are infinatly adjustable in the fronts, tokios are only 5 way topps

nothing beats a koni strut, they are the shit,
