Does anybody know the RMS power output of the factory Infinity system in 2G DSM's?

I think it is 210 watts it may be 105 RMS or 210 RMS but I'm not positive.

Well does anyone know how many watts RMS to the speakers on this system. It is advertised that the factory Infinity has 8 speakers I can only locate 6 visually. The 2 tweeters in the dash, pair of 5 1/4" in the doors, and the 6x9's in the rear seat side panels. If anyone knows of the other pair or if it exists please let me know. The reason I am asking is because I was thinking of buying either a Panasonic CD Receiver(23W x 4)RMS (45W x 4)Peak or a Sony Xplod CD Receiver(19W x 4)RMS (50W x 4)Peak and I want to make sure that I will be upgrading and not losing power from the factory system. Plus I want to make sure that I have enough power to push all of the speakers, however many there are, just as well or better than the factory Infinity. Any input would be very helpful.

If your going to upgrade your deck then take a look at this connector.

It is for 90-99 Mitsu. It connects your aftermarket reciever to your factory amp.

I just put in an alpine that's 45x4 peak, and it sounds like it pushing less power, but then again I also upgraded the speakers to ones with a higher power rating. I thought they said there was 8 speakers too, and I do have the infinity system. But there's only 6, I've had the entire interior pulled out, so I'm certain of that. Two 3.5" tweets in the dash, and ( I know crutchfield says 5 1/4" in the doors, but trust me, mine had 6 1/2"s. I didn't realize that until AFTER I bought the MB Quart 5 1/4" component set) 6 1/2's in the door, and the 6x9's for the rear fill.
But back to the subject, in my opinion, either of the head units you mentioned should push the factory speakers just fine, they aren't very good after all. They just carry the infinity name.
