Painting a New Body Kit for 95 Eclipse?

I just got a new body kit for my 95 GSX. It includes the front bumper, 2 side skirts, and 2 quarter aprons and a dual wing. It is a Erebuni fiberglass kit. I was wondering what the average price is to paint and have the kit installed? I have called around my area in Maryland and they want $750 to paint and $1000 to paint and to install.
If you do it yourself, is it better to paint and then istall or install and then paint? What is used to install the side skirts- double sided tape?

I would think it would be easier to paint and then install as you would not have a problem getting into the creases and you wouldn't have to mask the rest of the car off. Just be very carefull with the pieces after they are painted! :)
