Old sytle Greddy EGT info needed

I purchased a used 52mm Greddy EGT guage. This is the older style with white backing and green numbers. It also has a check light on it.

I need the following information for it:

What wires connect to what?
Red -
Orange -
Yellow -
Black - lighting
White - Lighting

I am hoping someone has this guage in their car and can help me out.

Black is lighting ??? "usually" that's a ground color ! I'd probably not be able to help much if that's the info you have so far ! You will need a 12V constant and Ground, and the probe input factored in, so that could be the other three. Rarely do you need 2 lighting -- I'd bet one is lighting and one is ACC.

I'd go ahead and e-mail GReddy directly, they are quite helpful. It could even be on the web somewhere if you search Google for GReddy diagrams or something.

Sorry for the mixup.

Black is the ground associated with lighting. White is the positive.

I cant seem to find any help anywhere on this and Ive emailed greddy to no avail. :mad:

black=ground
white= +12V hooked up to dash lights (see VFAQ)
red= red on thermocouple
yellow=yellow on thermocouple
orange= switched 12V power (on when key is on)


Just an educated guess, use this advice at your own risk. Dont blame me if it fries your gauge.

i was looking around and wanted to correct the above info incase anyone is searching and sees this thread.

black= Ground
red= +12V from Ignition, if peak/hold needs to be constant, otherwise can be switched with ignition acc wire
white= Illumination/switched +12V from guage fuse/parking light wire
yellow= Probe input (red probe input from Greddy probe)
orange= Probe Input (blue probe input from Greddy probe)
