Sup guys,

My friend gave me his old deck today. I hooked it up. I turn it on, and it says enter code. I have the code, problem tho. The face does NOT flip all the way over. It is only perpendicular to the deck, which i find a bit strange. The manual says to "press the preset button" and enter the code. I cant find a preset button, and when i hit the 1-6 buttons on the bottom, nothing happens. Anyone have this deck? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I looked up your deck at Kenwood's website but could not see the individual buttons. Do you have a memory button? That may be your preset button, or just a plain p button. If you haven't found it yet, put all of the letters on the buttons here and we'll figure it out.

Maybe I can help I used to work for Kenwood. Your saying the deck doesn't flip all the way over and it's asking for the code? Once you have entered the code does the radio beep at all? There should be a button to press once you have entered the code like an enter key usually the clock button. Have you tried reseting the unit cause sometimes they get stuck like that when they're supposed to flip all the way around. The 7007 was the model year right before I started there. I never had a unit only flip halfway over they usually just flip completly and then asks for the code. Another thing is the 1-6 buttons do not work unless the radio is completly flipped over so that could be the other problem. Did your friend ever have any problems with the radio before?
