protecting the stock radio

Is there any way to protect the stock radio, I know it has the codes but a thief may not know/care.
I was thinking of making a dummy face cover so it looks like theres no radio.

Your best bet...

make it as easy as possible for the thief to get your radio...

The easier it is...the less stuff that gets damaged during the "removal"

Here in Phoenix you're probably better off just leaving it on the front seat with the doors unlocked and the windows rolled down...

at least then they don't bust open your latch, pry open your door, bust your windows, kick in your center console, cut your factory harness (it's quicker than just unplugging everything you know), and getting your car looking like it was just nuked.
