OK so I finally got this thing (been out of stock everywhere for a while) and hooked it up. Immediately the car started acting strangely. Idle was like 1400RPM, boost came on so quick it was almost like all I had to do was think it nevermind actually step on the accelerator, and the power delivery was very erratic. I'm sure I just installed it wrong. Plus, the instructions that came with it only explained installation on a 1g, not a 2g, so I improvised with my previous knowledge of the 2g ECU pinout.
This is how I hooked it up...
Red wire to ECU power (pin 25)
Black wire to ECU ground (pin 92)
White and yellow wires interrupt airflow meter wire (pin 90)
Green wire to vehicle speed sensor (pin 86)
The green wire is supposed to be a "tachometer signal" so I'm figuring that my error is here, but can't figure any other wire that may carry a tach signal. Does anyone out there have this FCD connected to the ECU rather than a HKS F-con? If so please advise on how you have it hooked up. Thanks!!
