Tranny Probs..please Help!!!!!

OK..im a new dsm owner and im hearing alot about the tranny probs automatics have..mine is a 91 gs turbo and ill list the probs im having so maybe you guys can please guide me to what to do..and i already changed the fluid and filter...
1.no OD..man it sucks for highway driving
2.after about 25 mintues of driving ill be stopped or something and ill go to accelerate and its like in second gear because it starts off in the gear before OD and its very very slow until i get about 30 mph
3.it dosnt shift on point ..i have to let go of the gas for a few seconds so itll shift

PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK IT IS..ANY REPLY WILL BE VERY VERY HELPING TO ME AS I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT COULD BE..
and the car only has 95000 miles on it so i dont think its time for a new tranny yet do you think but ill get one if i have to i guess...thanks again,

end clutch needs to be rebuilt.. it would be nice if you lived by NY, someone does it here nice and cheap...

thanx for your info i dont know much about dsm transmision probs but if you think its the end clutch then ill get that checked out and fixed..anyone elses input on this???..thanx a whole bunch

Be sure to check out Charles' (tsi91at) web site (http://www.plymouthlaser.com) for auto tranny stuff, such as end clutch rebuilds and such. It's a treasure trove of information. No, he didn't pay me to say that... :D

yeh, if u are ok with tools, you can do the end clutch yourself, when i saw it done to my car i wished i had done it myself, it looked that easy.. Charles can also sell you the clutches.. check out his site...

My 95 had a problem similar to yours. It was the transmission pump had worn out. It was about 400 to have it fixed.

Also check the TCU capacitors. They leak like the ones on the ECU...

thank you to everyone who replied..im going to go with the end clutch because when i first got the car it was shifting really hard and they said the tranny was going but when i checked the fluid there was NOTHING IN THERE..sometimes id like to really smack some sense into people but i think that burned the clutch out..ive only had the car for a month and a half now but i love it to death..IM A PROUD OWNER OF A DSM DAMMIT:P anyways i think ill leave it go until the spring because right now i have a 3 inch complete turbo back exhaust coming and a 20g turbo and supporting mods..what can i say i love speed..anyhoo thanx again everyone

I am having these exact same problems with my 91 Auto AWD. Did you ever find out what was wrong I would really like to know, thanks.

Any one have the radioshack part # for TCU capacitors sure would help if you could help. Thanks
