No headlights

I want to remove the pop up headlights to shave weight from my car. If I were to have driving lights hooked up for when the highbeams should be on and then fog lights for the low beams will I be able to see ok. Will this pass inspection?? I can always do this after inspection though. Would they be hard to aim??

it'd probably be fine but the cops will just have a field day with you AND your car. Have you ever driven with just the foglights? I have and I could only see about 15 feet in front of me, it sucked too. Dude I'd keep them the way they are, or maybe do that mod where the lights stay down and shine through the clear lens ya know? Dont want ya gettin hurt or hitt'n deer and shit cuz you can't see. :)

ps. the popups don't weigh all that much do they???
