Have any you guys experienced any problems with the
computer for the auto trans? The guy that wants to sell me the
car told me that he changed the comp. and the car would run
good for a month then the same problem would arise.
He wasn't specific with the problem.
The car is in fairly good condition for 500$. Oh yea bad turbo.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I'm debating
in buying this in fear that I will send alot of money, u know
bad investment. Thanks guys for your help.........:)

How mechanically inclined are you? What year is the car? high miles? were all the recalls done on it? $500 dollars would be a great price to pay for a parts car. I had to replace the ECU in my car, I tried to do the cap replacement (not in time) This car has cost me alot of money, but it is like an addiction. I can honestly say that I have learned more about cars than I wanted to by working on this thing!

I'm a autobody tech now for 9 years. I'm familiar with the engines , however no knowledge in auto trannies.
The 21 cars I had over my lifetime has been manual.
I already have a parts car thats manual, I just
wanted to find out to see if the car has a common problem.

I don't think I'm going to buy that talon. I had a horrible
expirience with a bad tranny on a integra, it was hell. I just don't to go through the same thing with this car. I mean its a good buy for the price, just thinkin in getting it for the wife, but if its going to be hassle forget it.
Well like I said I thought it was a common problem.

I would pick it up if I were you. Unless you really hate automatics. I have had zero problems with my tranny.

Someone bought it already, darn-it, I guess I waited too long
