A lot depends on the subs, sense you will need the box accordingly to the size, cuz if you using a pair of perfects, the enclouser will have to be differnet then say if you use Cervin Vega's. I'd suggest going to http://www.soundomain.com and look at the member rides.

I'm getting 2 Audiobahn ALUM 12's. The box is 1 cu. ft.

(2) 1cuft boxes would be easy to put in. I've got a box for (2) 3 cuft subs. I've got pictures somewhere so I'll post them up when I find them.

i have a 3 cu. ft. box for two audiobahn aw1200's. not the aluminum ones. it goes all the way across the back but is short enough to fit under the rear hatch cover so you can't see it from outside.like 31" across and 11" high you gotta work out the angles and the magnets make it a tight fit but its possible. let me know ho wthose things hit though. i'm pushing 1100 through mine and they can easily hurt my ears. never heard the aluminums.

Well Im runnin the Audiobahn 2150HC amp to them. Also a Audiobahn 1 farad cap. Im goin to run them at 1 1/2 ohms. Hopefully get about 1200 to them. Hoping to hit about 150dB at least. I had 2 12" MA Audio MAW612's with a 1200 watt Power Acoustic amp, and hit at 141.9 and 142.3. These aluminums should kill that. I'll post when i get everything done.

cool man. i'm runnig both of mine at 1 ohm right now and am looking in to a capacitor for them. my lights are geting there asses kicked at night. i've never got mine tested but i know that my amp is not maxed and neither are the woofers at the point where my inner ear gets very sore . i'm hoping to hit up some shows this summer and maybe even get it tested to see what i'm pushing.

the \_/ part fits flush with the inner hatch area. It's much like kyle said but I took out all of the carpet, wood, and wheel back there and fitted it over the wheel screw down.

Oh ya, that cloth looking stuff is carpet padding because it fit tight and squeeked against the panels. You can't see it when the box is installed.

A lot of how your two 12's will sound is on your amp and box. i would buy a good and powerful enough amp to push both 12's. then if you are not sure of how to build a box take your subs and amp to your local car audio place and have them build a custom box that will fit your car.

he's right, if you have a small amp then a bigger sealed box will work great, but if your amp is big enough then you can run on the smaller specs for the subs and they'll still sound good and you'll have more space.

I designed and built two sealed dual-chamber boxes for my two Pioneer Premier 12's, but when it came down to it the box just wasn't loud enough. That, and it wasn't removable come race day.

So, I came up with a three chamber dual bandpass box that's removable (with two people after you get all the mounting bolts out) and loud as hell.

Check out my pics:

Any questions, just ask.

Dark Lightning.. what is the total cu.ft on your box? Also did you have to take out any panels in the rear to free up more space to get the box to fit? I am amazed you got a dual bandpass in that tiny trunk! I like the ports on your setup.

And the best part? I can see the very top of my stock TSi tail fin. :) I don't lose any vision, and I still have some room in the back between the amp and the rear of the trunk for misc. bullshit. In fact, I keep jumper cables, a flashlight, and my ice scraper between the back of the rear seats and the front of the box; there's enough room by far.

I dropped some more pics into http://www.geocities.com/nmudl/pics/box/ and I also threw together a web page about building the box, including an explanation of the ports.

Ok, looking at:

Mind you, all of these cubic space measurements are straight from the Pioneer Premier manual for the Premier 12's. Your requirements may differ; check your manufacturer. Anyhow, the lower two chambers came out to ~.91 cubic feet a piece and the upper chamber came to ~1.95 I think. I have to think about the port volume some more (I built the box mid last year.)
