Tires make a car.. you will notice upgrading the wheel 1" and getting wider tires will improve handling ALOT.

Everything comes down to the tires. If you can't get traction, all the hp, brakes, shocks and sway bars in the world won't help.

EXACTLY
Everything your car does is dependent on the tires. You can have a perfectly tuned suspension, brakes with tons of clamping power, and a 500hp engine, but it won't mean squat if you have crappy tires that let you slide around like you're on a ice rink. If you think your car has grip now, try some rCompound tires. Definetly a must in my book for any autoX or roadracer. Hell I'm just getting yokohama A032R race tires for the street as soon as I wear out these bridgestones.
