it is a convienient way to play music in an automobile but it is seriously flawed in terms of musical fidelity, just as 8-tracks were in the 70's.

U want the best mp3 player ever created? Creative Nomad Jukebox, its got a 6gb hard drive inside and the only downside would be its not a headunit, so you would have to mount it and run the tape converter thing from the line out on it, unless you could somehow wire it directly into your head unit (possible). It runs about $380 last i checked, best price that is.

hold your horses the new line up's are coming out and damn near everybody has an mp3 player in their line up

JVC actually makes one with an MP3 player input on the face...
