What is the quickest and cheapest way to lower a 2G? I figure I'll just buy some springs and slap them on there. I only plan to drop it about 1.5 inches. Will this require a camber correction kit because I really don't want to spend the money, but, don't want to ruin my new Yokohomas? I plan to have an alignment immediately after the drop. Any ideas? What springs do you guys prefer? Suspension is really my weak point guys. It's front wheel drive and should be easier to lower, right? Any info. would be helpful. Thanx.

The quickest and cheapest way would be hack your springs. But that would be a disgrace to DSM's so don't do it. Get either the Eibach Pro-Kit or the Neuspeed kit and install them. Take it to get aligned and see if you have enough camber adjustment for proper alignment. Some cars will and others don't. If you don't have enought adjustment, you have no choice other than buy a camber adjustment kit. The front is the most expensive and the rear can be adjusted by using shims to achieve the right camber.

i would definately not cut your springs, that will just cost more in the long run, and if u lower your car with stock struts u will most likely need to replace them soon as well, i know this from past experience, oh and doing springs is pretty easy, even if u dont have a spring compressor, there are other ways!

I agree with Dsmman you could let the air out of your
tires OR you could:

Just look around at a construction site for some large
boulders or sand bags and load you car up with around
1000lbs and that should give you a pretty good look.
Just make sure to distribute the weight.

P.S. I hope to god you know I am just kidding.
