Imma finnaly make time this weekend to do the freaking leak test, beign that Ive owned the car for a year and its had leaks since I had it...all the while replacing just about everything else thats broke while installing mods, and still driving like crap because of this leak....

my question -

I already made the leak tester and and I dont want to go out and buy an air tank just for this. I dont think a bike pump will produce enough boost (it starts to stutter around 8 PSI) for me to identify the leak point.

I considered getting one of those electric pumps, but they claim to produce 100 plus PSI and I dont want to blow the engine up. Ive looked for a pump w/ adjustable PSI and havent found one.

what have you guys used as a source of air to attach to the tester?

Thanx in advance

I go to the gas station and use the air pump there. :D

it was 16psi I believe... at least that's what it would stay at until I'd stop the air.. damn huge boost leak. hehe.

I made one from my dads hardware store, then I just use my bros portable air compressor. Works like a charm ;)

Just turn your ignition to the on position (don't try to start it!) so your boost gauge turns on. That way you can monitor what boost level you're at (have someone sit in the car).
The 100psi rating is just how much pressure it's capable of, it doesn't fill up 100psi instantly;).
