Does anyone know if any of the radar detector companies still make the "installed" type of radar detector? I haven't seen one in a while but would like to get one.

As far as I know, you can still get the K40 front and rear detectors installed, but they are REALLY dated now, and 99% of the windshield mounted ones do the job MUCH better.
