1.8 liter to 2.0 turbo can u do it ?

i just had a question i was looking to buy a 2.0 turbo for my car it has a 1.8 liter in it right now and i was wonder if it would be possible to do a swap and if so what all would i need to get ?

yes its possible... ive done it

u should just buy another car, cause u have to swap EVERYTHING (all wiring included)

but it will drop in w/ no mods to the motor mounts n stuff

You do have to change one of the mounts on the drivers side but it comes straight off the turbo car and bolts right in. It is at a different angle.

So InteClipse you have done the 1.8 to 2.0Turbo swap???? What wiring did you have to change? Just the wire harness or what?

It's easier to swap all your accessories, including your interior and carpet and body panels into another car than it is to pull the motor out and install a 2.0. And it's cheaper to buy a turbo car. It's been discussed hundreds of times on this board. Swapping motors is a losing financial proposition unless your car has thousands of dollars in body and suspension work.
