good radar detector

Can anyone recomend a good radar detector or where to get one, not too expensive but something that isnt a POS.

i would also be interested in this. i was looking at the Cobra 9200 for $94 from http://www.radar-guys.com anyone have any info on this model? looks good if ya ask me.

I believe "Valentine" is the radar detector of choice, although it's pretty expensive ($400). I remember reading about it in this thread:

I have Cobra 9100 - pretty happy with it ... I just mounted very high (on the level with the mirror on the passenger side) - it kept me out of a couple of tickets!! :) (AAMOF I haven't got a ticket since I got the radar :))

i got cobra, not sure which model but it a 360 degree and cost me a 100 bucks last year, i don't like it. all it does it beeps for every building,and even with the city button one it still beeps. so you never know if its beeping for a cop or a building.

i am pretty sure everyone will agree that a v-one is the best but it is damn expensive

One tip in having a radar detector, make sure all the lights n stuff arnt able to be seen from behind your car...

i.e. a cop driving behind you doesnt see all the radar detector lights - your just asking him to zero in on you.
