View Full Version : Removing the silencer...seized mas screws

ok im trying to remove my silencer, but i saw on the back of my aircan i have 8 or so screws holding the mas in, i tried to get them out but i started stripping them so i backed off..is there another way to get rid of the silencer or is there some trick to unseize these little screws??

If you disconnect the aircan from the rubber hose heading into the throttle, you should see the silencer right in the back of the can.
You should be able to just yank it out with a pair of needle nose pliers....thats what I did anyway.

I remember taking some screws out, I disconnected the MAS from the top of the aircan, and it just came out after that. Hope you can get it all figured out, if not check out the vfaq on it.
