I understand that alot of power has been created for the 1.8, but my question is can you actually use it, there's a difference between having it and using it. I wouldn't be racing everywhere, but sometimes though i just like to floor it and feel the power. Please dont tell me to get a 4g63 because im not...im just wondering the capabilities of the turbo 4g37

I'm the only one. My RPM gauge never drops below 4000.

do you have any 1/4 mile times or horsepower #s?

250whp, 236 ft/lbs, 18 psi, 50% race gas.

As I've stated before, I will not race the car. If I wanted to race, I would have bought an AWD Turbo car like everyone else. This project was to make a statement.

ginsu417,

I had a few technical questions for you in your Turbo 4G37 FAQ:

You probably missed it.

man K those numbers are better than i thought, i am very impressed. and as for the 5k thing, he meant that they never drop BELOW 4k, meaning he likes boost...a lot...

good luck with the project

ginsu417, what would you say about tossing parts on my 1.8L from my 95 TSi AWD. like the t25, stock IC, etc. when i'm upgrading. or don't bother? i'd buy parts if needed but think that would work well or just leave the 1.8L stock and put my efforts to my 90 TSi AWD (currently engineless and JDM galant tranny that is stuck in 4th gear)

You'll need a custom made exhaust manifold in order to bolt up the T-25 to your car. The IC will not work without having the end tanks modified since the outlets are positioned differently from a 1G IC. That should give you an idea.

i wouldn't mind picking up a couple misc parts here and there and we have a welder etc, but the t25 might get scrapped as it seems to be on it's way out, i'm going to get a ported 14b from my friend. i guess i might eventually try tossing that on the 1.8L :dunno: i wouldn't mind buying some parts if need be.
