Correct Brake Bleeding Sequence for 2g
Which is the correct way? The Chiltons and this thread say to use the diagonal pattern but then I came across this thread which said to go PR,DR, PF, DF.

Bizarre. Always do the furthest from the master and work closer. Even if you don't get it _just_right_, so what? The system's really not going to know. Think of all the cars out there whose systems have NEVER been flushed/bled, and how seldom you hear brake failure stories.

I did a complete big brake upgrade about 8 months ago, I gravity bled in no specific sequence at all, and ended up with evertyhing being fine. I didn't even do pedal pumps to bleed each corner. This is with ABS too.
Do I have a point? yea, I don't think it matters, but following procedures may help with something I'm totally unaware of and haven't stumbled across yet.

The rule of thumb that I have always gone by is bleed starting at the corner furthest from the master cylinder. That would be the second sequence that you posted.

For FWD you get a diagonal cross pattern type sections. Instead of your RWD which is seperated in two main front and seperate rear sections. This is done cause if one section on a FWD is lost. You still get one front and the opposite rear channel. This is done so that you don't loose the fronts brakes completely, which 75% to 80% of your stopping power. So propper sequence would be PR-DF-DR-PF (P-assenger side, D- Driver side, F- Front, and R- Rear). In most cause as long as you get the bubbles out of the line your fine.

So what is the proper sequence for a 1G without ABS?

This is from the factory shop manual. Passenger Rear, Driver Front, Driver Rear, Passenger Front. I tend to agree that if you get all the air bubbles out it really doesn't matter.

Just let gravity do all the bleeding its messy but really easy.

After searching around, I've found many sources saying to cross-bleed FWD. First I'd heard of it, I thought they were done inventing stuff by now. O well, is my nose red. And blinking.
